Essential Qualification
- Subject Matter Specialist (Agriculture Faculty – Agronomy, Soil Science, Vegetable Science, Agricultural Economics, Plant Pathology, Entomology)
- Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech/MBA) in the related subject.
- Must have passed the NET exam.
- Subject Matter Specialist (Veterinary & Animal Science Faculty)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc or B.V.Sc. & A.H.).
- A Master’s degree (M.V.Sc. or equivalent) in the subject.
- Must be registered with the State or Indian Veterinary Council.
- Must have passed the NET exam.
For all posts, candidates with a Master’s degree must have passed the NET exam and have one paper in a NAAS rated journal. There is an exemption from NET for candidates who registered for a Ph.D. before 11/07/2009, if they meet certain conditions.
Selection Process
- The selection of candidates will be based on a Score Card.
- This Score Card is prescribed by the university.
- Candidates with knowledge of Himachal Pradesh customs and dialects may get preference.
