Age Eligibility

To apply you must be at least 21 years old as of 01/08/2024. The maximum age is 37 years for General men 40 years for BC EBC General women and 42 years for SC ST candidates.

Essential Qualification

  • Degree in relevant Engineering (Civil Mech or Elec) from AICTE Approved University or Institute.
  • OR Regular technical degree from recognized Deemed University (Distance mode not valid).
  • OR Passed Sections A and B of AMIE (India) or equivalent.

Selection Process

  1. Selection: Based on Written Test (Objective 6 Papers) and Contract Experience Weightage.
  2. Written Test Papers (1 Hour 100 Marks each):
    • Compulsory: General English (Qualifying min 30) General Hindi (Qualifying min 30) General Studies General Engineering Science.
    • Optional (2 Papers): Relevant Engineering (Civil Mech or Elec).
  3. Minimum Written Marks (After passing Eng/Hin): Gen-40% BC-36.5% EBC-34% SC ST Women PwD-32%.
  4. Merit List: 75% weightage for written test marks plus max 25% weightage for contract experience (5 marks per year). Total 100 Marks.
  5. Tie-Breaker: Higher written marks then older age then name order.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the BPSC Online Application Portal to apply.
  2. You must do One Time Registration (OTR) first using a valid email and mobile number.
  3. Login with your OTR User ID and Password.
  4. Fill your Profile Details carefully (Personal Qualification Experience etc.). Use a webcam for live photo.
  5. Lock your Profile after checking all information is correct.
  6. Find the Assistant Engineer advertisement in the 'New Advertisement' section and click Apply.
  7. Fill the application form completely.
  8. Pay the Exam Fee online using the payment options.
  9. Download and Print the final Application Form from 'My Account' tab and keep it safe.
  10. Remember the dates: Apply from 30/04/2025 to 28/05/2025.
