National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024. This is a exam for Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D., and admission to Ph.D. only. The notification was released on and the last date to apply is 31/12/2024. The exam will be held from 16/02/2025 to 28/02/2025 across various cities in India. Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

- Master's Degree or equivalent with ≥55% marks (≥50% for reserved categories).
- Final year/result awaiting Master's candidates can apply provisionally (final result must meet 55%/50% criteria).
- For Ph.D. admission only: Master's degree completion within one year of NET result.
- For JRF & other positions: Master's degree completion within two years of NET result.
- 4-year/8-semester Bachelor's with ≥75% marks (≥70% for reserved) eligible for JRF and Ph.D. admission (as per UGC 2022 regulations).
- PG diploma approved by the Association of Indian Universities is acceptable for NET.

Ph.D. applicants: NET (70%) & Interview (30%) weightage. Final shortlisting via combined merit score.

Applicable for Ph.D. Admissions. Final ranking based on combined NET score (70% weight) & Viva-voce (30% weight).
Viva-voce is for 25 marks and cut-off based on overall ranking. Admission based on combined merit rank (weighted Viva & NET scores).
Validity: One year to pursue Ph.D. For 4-year graduate degree holders, the same score applies for Ph.D. or Lectureship.
Score determines Ph.D. qualification only; Assistant Professor based on College's experience criteria.
