Essential Qualification
For all Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) posts, passing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and having a B.Ed degree is mandatory. Other specific qualifications are listed below.
- TGT (Concerned Subject)
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in the relevant subject with 50% marks.
- Drawing Teacher
- Five years Diploma in Drawing/Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Art. OR
- Masters Degree in Drawing and Painting/Fine Art. OR
- Bachelors Degree in Drawing/Painting/Fine Art plus a two-year diploma.
- Special Education Teacher
- Graduate with B.Ed. (Special Education). OR
- B.Ed. with a two-year diploma in special education.
- CTET qualification is compulsory.
Selection Process
- The selection will be through a One Tier Examination.
- The exam will have 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks.
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Section A will cover General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Hindi, and English.
- Section B will cover the subject-specific topics.
