The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission is recruiting for various government jobs. This is a chance for regular government positions in Himachal Pradesh. Exam Fee
- Fee Rs. 600 applies to: General Males HP, EWS Males Not BPL HP, Wards Gen Ex SM HP, Other States.
- Fee Rs. 150 applies to: SC ST OBC Males HP, Wards SC ST OBC Ex SM WFF HP, EWS Males BPL HP.
- No Fee applies to: Ex SM HP Normal Tenure, Blind Visually Impaired Males HP, Females All.
Selection Process

Preliminary Examination (Screening Test)
- Nature: Objective type (MCQ). Screening test only.
- Papers: Two papers.
- Paper I: General Studies (200 Marks 100 Questions).
- Paper II: Aptitude Test (200 Marks 100 Questions).
- Duration: 2 hours per paper.
- Scoring: Paper II qualifying (33 percent min) merit via Paper I. Negative marking applies (one third mark).
- Syllabus Paper I: HP GK General Studies Current Events.
- Syllabus Paper II: Aptitude Reasoning Numeracy English Comprehension (X Level).

Main Examination (Written)
- Nature: Written exam compulsory plus optional subjects.
- Papers: 8 Papers total (Compulsory: English Hindi Essay GS I II III Optional: Paper I II).
- Duration: 3 hours per paper.
- Scoring: Need 40 percent in Hindi English (not ranked) 45 percent aggregate in others. Final rank from Main Written plus Interview.
- Syllabus: Degree Level (Hindi English: 10+2 Level). Detailed syllabus on Commissions website.

Personality Test (Interview)
- Nature: Interview by Commission.
- Purpose: Assess suitability ability social traits current affairs interest.
- Desired: Knowledge of HP customs manners dialects.
- Scoring: Marks contribute to final merit.
