Essential Qualification
- Medical Officer (General Wing)
- A recognized M.B.B.S. medical qualification.
- Must have completed a compulsory rotating internship.
- A Post Graduate Degree or Diploma is desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh customs and dialects is also desirable.
Selection Process
- Stage 1: Written Examination (Two Papers)
- Both papers will be on the same day.
- Paper-I (Screening Test): This is an objective test (MCQ) for 100 marks and 1 hour long.
- Paper-II (Subject Aptitude Test - SAT): This is a descriptive test for 120 marks and 3 hours long.
- There is negative marking (0.25 marks) for wrong answers in Paper-I.
- Stage 2: Personality Test
- This test is for 30 marks.
- Final Selection
- The final list will be based on marks from Paper-II (SAT) and the Personality Test.
