Age Eligibility

Candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 42 years, as on or before 15/07/2024 (15 days before the last date of submission of application i.e. 27/08/2024).

  • Candidates must have qualified NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR or hold a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC regulations.
Assistant Professor (Fine Arts)
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in Fine Arts from an Indian or a recognized foreign University.
  • Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or in Higher Education.
  • Candidates must have qualified NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. Degree.
Assistant Professor (Mass Communication)
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent qualification from an Indian or foreign University/recognized institution in Communication/Mass Communication/ Journalism.
  • Ph.D. degree in Communication/Mass Communication/Journalism from an Indian University or equivalent degree from a Foreign University (Desirable)
  • Two years full-time teaching/research experience in Mass Communication. (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or in Higher Education.
  • Candidates must have qualified NET/SLET/SET or hold a Ph.D. Degree.

Selection Process

Selection Step Details
Screening Test
  • The screening test will be conducted for all the posts except music, physical education, and Fine Arts.
  • It will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will be of 2 hours duration.
  • The medium of the exam will vary based on the subject.
  • Candidates 4 times the number of advertised posts will be shortlisted for the subject knowledge test, provided that they have secured the minimum cut-off marks of 25% in the screening test.
Skill Test
  • Skill Test will be conducted for Music, Physical Education, and Fine Arts candidates.
  • Candidates who qualify for the Skill Test will be eligible to appear in the next stage of the recruitment process.
Subject Knowledge Test
  • Candidates who qualify the screening test/Skill Test will be called for the subject knowledge test.
  • It will be a written exam of 3 hours duration with 150 total marks.
  • The exam medium will vary based on the subject.
  • Candidates 2 times the number of advertised posts will be called for the interview, provided they have secured the minimum cut-off marks of 35%.
  • The weightage of the subject knowledge test will be 87.5%.
Interview/Viva-voce
  • Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the subject knowledge test will be called for an Interview/Viva-voce.
  • The weightage of the Interview/Viva-voce will be 12.5%.
Final Selection The final merit list will be prepared by adding the marks of the subject knowledge test and the interview/viva-voce.
