Essential Qualification:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution
- MD (Medicine) or MD (General Medicine)
- Three years experience in Medicine after getting the postgraduate degree.

Essential Qualification:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution
- MS (Ophthalmology), MD (Ophthalmology), Diploma in Ophthalmology, or Diploma in Ophthalmic medicine and surgery
- Three years experience after postgraduate degree or five years experience after postgraduate diploma.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting: ICMR will first check if applicants meet the minimum age, education, and experience rules.
- Further Shortlisting (If needed): If many people apply, ICMR may shortlist further based on higher experience or education.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The number called depends on the vacancies (e.g., up to 48 candidates for 7 vacancies).
