Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for reserved posts. Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates is as per Government of India rules.

Essential Qualification

  • Scientist/Engineer SC (Machine/Industrial Design): B.E/B.Tech in a relevant field with M.E/M.Tech.
  • Scientist/Engineer SC (Other): B.E/B.Tech or M.Sc in the relevant discipline.
  • Technical Assistant: First Class Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
  • Scientific Assistant: First Class B.Sc. with the main subject as specified for the post.
  • Library Assistant A: Graduation in First Class and a First Class Master Degree in Library Science.
  • Radiographer A: First Class Diploma in Radiography of at least two years.
  • Technician B / Draughtsman B: 10th Grade (SSLC/SSC) pass with an ITI/NTC/NAC certificate in the relevant trade.
  • Cook: 10th Grade pass with 5 years of experience as a Cook in a well-established hotel or canteen.
  • Fireman A: 10th Grade pass and must satisfy physical fitness standards.
  • Light Vehicle Driver A: 10th Grade pass with a valid LVD license and 3 years of experience.
  • Nurse B: First Class Diploma in Nursing of at least three years duration.

Selection Process

The selection process for ISRO recruitment includes the following stages:

  1. Written Test: A computer-based test will be held for all posts. The exam pattern varies for different posts.
  2. Interview: For Scientist/Engineer posts, candidates will be shortlisted for an interview based on written test scores.
  3. Skill Test: For most other posts like Technical Assistant and Technician, a skill test will be conducted. This test is qualifying in nature.
  4. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Required for the Fireman A post.
  5. Document Verification: All original documents will be checked at the time of skill test or interview.
  6. Medical Examination: A detailed medical exam is required for certain posts.
