The upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates. Age relaxation is also given for government servants and PwBD candidates as per government of India rules.

Essential Qualification
All medical posts require a medical qualification as per the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and registration with a Medical Council.
- Professor Posts (Clinical)
- A postgraduate qualification MD/MS/DM/MCh in the respective specialty.
- 11 to 14 years of teaching or research experience.
- Assistant Professor Posts (Clinical)
- A postgraduate qualification MD/MS in the respective specialty.
- 3 years of teaching or research experience.
- Assistant Professor Posts (Super-specialty)
- A DM/MCh in the respective super-specialty.
- No experience is required for 3-year DM/MCh holders.
- Professor (Non-Medical - Anatomy/Pharmacology/Physiology)
- Masters degree and PhD in the subject.
- 14 years of teaching or research experience after PhD.
- Assistant Professor (Non-Medical - Physiology)
- Masters degree and PhD in the subject.
- 3 years of teaching or research experience after PhD.
- Assistant Professor of Dentistry
- MDS in the specified branch.
- 3 years of teaching or research experience.
Selection Process
- The selection process will be based on a Personal Interview.
- The interview may also be conducted online via video conferencing.
