- Fourteen years teaching/research experience post MD.

- Three years teaching/research experience post MD.

Professor of Pharmacology (Medical)
- A medical qualification (MBBS).
- MD in Pharmacology or equivalent.
- Fourteen years teaching/research experience post MD.

Professor of Pharmacology (Non-Medical)
- Master degree in Pharmacology or allied subjects.
- Ph.D. degree.
- Fourteen years teaching/research experience post Ph.D.
For DNB candidates, equivalence proof as per NMC norms is required.
