Selection Process

Combined Competitive Main Examination (Written)
- Nature Written exam with conventional essay type papers.
- Papers Consists of eight papers. One paper is qualifying only.
- Marks Candidates need minimum qualifying marks set by the Commission.

Personality Test (Interview)
- Eligibility Candidates clearing written exam cutoff are called.
- Number Called Maximum three times the number of vacancies.
- Marks Interview carries 250 marks. No minimum qualifying marks.

Physical Standards (For J&K Police Service Only)
- Male Height 165 cm Chest 84 cm with 5 cm expansion.
- Female Height 150 cm Chest 79 cm with 5 cm expansion.
