Selection Process

Common Written Examination
- Type: Objective Type Questions (No Negative Marks)
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Structure:
- Part A: Tamil Eligibility Test (or General English) - 25 Marks (Qualifying Only)
- Part B: Basic Knowledge (Bi-Lingual) - 40 Marks (Counts for Selection)
- Minimum Marks: 10 marks needed in each Part A and Part B
- Syllabus: General Tamil or English General Knowledge Current Affairs Basic Arithmetic Housekeeping skills (up to Class 8 level)

Skill Test
- Shortlisting: Based on Part B written marks merit and reservation. Ratio 1:4 or 1:5 based on vacancies
- Maximum Marks: 40 Marks
- Minimum Marks: 10 marks needed to qualify
- Nature: Practical test of skills needed for the specific post (Sweeping Cleaning Gardening Security etc.)

- Shortlisting: Based on Skill Test marks merit and reservation. Ratio 1:2 or 1:3 based on vacancies
- Experience Weightage: Up to 20 marks for relevant work experience (NMRs etc.) during verification
