The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 46 years as of 01/07/2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules. SC, ST, BCs & EWS candidates get 5 years relaxation, and Physically Handicapped persons get 10 years relaxation.
Exam Fee

Essential Qualification
All candidates must be registered with the Telangana Medical Council. For most broad specialty posts, one year of experience as a Resident or Tutor is required after the PG degree. For super specialty posts, no further experience is required after the degree.
- Assistant Professor (Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-chemistry): Must have an MD, MS, or DNB. Non-medical teachers with M.Sc and Ph.D can also apply.
- Assistant Professor (Pathology, Community Medicine, Microbiology): Must have an MD or DNB in the respective specialty.
- Assistant Professor (Pharmacology): Must have an MD, DNB, or MBBS with Ph.D in Medical Pharmacology.
- Assistant Professor (Forensic Medicine): Must possess MD or DNB in Forensic Medicine.
- Assistant Professor (General Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics): Must have an MD, MS, or DNB in the specific discipline.
- Assistant Professor (Anaesthesia, Radio-Diagnosis, Psychiatry): Must possess an MD, MS, or DNB in the relevant field.
- Assistant Professor (Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT): Must have an MS or DNB in the concerned specialty.
- Assistant Professor (Hospital Administration): Must have an MD in Hospital Administration.
- Assistant Professor (Emergency Medicine): Must have an MD or DNB in Emergency Medicine.
- Assistant Professor (Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology): Must possess DM or DNB in the respective super specialty.
- Assistant Professor (C.T. Surgery, Neuro-surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology): Must have an M.Ch or DNB in the respective super specialty.
Selection Process
- The selection of candidates is based on a 100-point scale.
- A maximum of 80 points will be given for the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying PG or Super Specialty degree.
- A maximum of 20 points will be awarded for contract or outsourced service in Telangana state government hospitals.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the total points.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification before the final selection list is released.
