The minimum age is 21 years as on 01/01/2026. General Male and EWS Male age limit is 37 years. General Female and EWS Female age limit is 40 years. BC and EBC Male and Female age limit is 40 years. SC and ST Male and Female age limit is 42 years. Disabled persons get 10 years extra relaxation. Department workers get 5 years extra relaxation.

All candidates must have their degrees registered with Bihar Council of Medical Registration or Medical Council of India or National Medical Commission before joining.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on marks obtained in educational exams.
- A total of 100 points are used for the merit list.
- MBBS Exam marks give up to 60 points.
- Post Graduate Degree like MD or MS or DNB gives 40 points.
- Diploma Degree gives 30 points.
- Successful candidates will be called for Document Verification.
- The final merit list is based on marks and category rules.
