- Should possess a degree of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science or equivalent..
- Has passed Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the subjects.
- Having proficiency in operation of Computers (Word Processing and Spread Sheets).

Selection Process
- Typing Speed Test: To shortlist candidates initially.
- English Shorthand & Transcription Test: Must pass a test with 80 WPM in English Shorthand and 20 WPM in Transcription.
- Word Processing and Spreadsheet Test: Must demonstrate proficiency in computer operations.
