Candidates must be born between 02/01/1996 and 01/01/2008 for posts with a 30-year age limit, and between 02/01/1994 and 01/01/2008 for posts with a 32-year age limit. Essential Qualification
For posts requiring experience, it must be acquired after obtaining the essential educational qualification. Internships or training during the course will not be counted.
- JE (Civil) in BRO, MES: Degree in Civil Engineering OR 3-year Diploma with 2 years of experience.
- JE (E&M) in BRO, MES: Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering OR 3-year Diploma with 2 years of experience.
- JE (Civil) in Brahmaputra Board, CPWD, CWP RS, Farakka Barrage, NTRO: Three-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- JE (Mechanical) in Central Water Commission: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- JE (Electrical) in CPWD, CWP RS, Farakka Barrage: Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- JE (Mechanical) in DGQA-NAVAL: Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR 3-year Diploma with 2 years of experience.

Selection Process
- Paper-I (Computer Based Examination): This paper includes General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 Marks), General Awareness (50 Marks), and General Engineering (100 Marks). The duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Paper-II (Computer Based Examination): This is a domain-specific paper of 300 marks with 100 questions. The duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
- Document Verification: Conducted by the user departments after the final result.
- Medical Examination: As required for specific posts, especially in the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
