Essential Qualification

  • Common Qualification for all Junior Tradesman Posts:
    • Must have passed SSLC (10th Grade).
    • Must have an ITI certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade.
    • Must have completed Apprenticeship and have a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
  • Common Qualification for most Junior Training Officer Posts:
    • Must have passed SSLC (10th Grade).
    • Also, must have one of the following qualifications in the relevant field:
      A Degree in Engineering / Technology
      A Diploma in Engineering / Technology
      A National Trade Certificate (NTC) / National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)
  • Chemist, Grade-I
    • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Chemistry or a related field.
    • Minimum two years of research experience.
  • Mines Surveyor
    • Degree or Diploma in Civil / Mining.
    • Mines Surveyor's certificate of Competency.
  • Assistant Manager (Mines)
    • Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering.
    • 2nd class Mines manager's certificate of competency.
  • Junior Engineer / Junior Draughting Officer (Civil)
    • Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Assistant Agricultural Officer
    • Passed Higher Secondary (12th Grade).
    • Two years Diploma in Agriculture.
  • Assistant Horticultural Officer
    • Passed Higher Secondary (12th Grade).
    • Two years Diploma in Horticulture.
  • Technical Assistant (Electrical)
    • Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Selection Process

  1. The selection process is a single-stage Written Examination.
  2. The exam will have Paper I and Paper II. Appearing for both is mandatory.
  3. Paper I is for Tamil Eligibility, General Studies & Aptitude. It is an OMR-based test.
  4. Paper II is the Subject Paper related to your qualification. It is a Computer Based Test (CBT).
  5. A merit list will be prepared based on marks from Paper I (Parts B & C) and Paper II.
  6. Candidates will then be called for Onscreen and Physical Certificate Verification.
  7. Final selection is based on marks and reservation rules.
