Selection Process

Written Exam The written examination will be of objective type with multiple choice questions. The exam will be of 100 marks and will be of 2 hours duration. The questions will be related to the educational qualification of the post. The minimum qualifying marks for the written examination are 45% for the General and OBC category candidates and 35% for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category candidates.
Physical Efficiency Test Candidates applying for the post of Forest Ranger will have to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Efficiency Test will be qualifying in nature. The candidates will have to run 25 km for male candidates and 14 km for female candidates within 4 hours. The candidates will also have to undergo a Physical Standard Test. The minimum height for male candidates is 163 cm and for female candidates is 150 cm. The chest should be 5 cm expanded.
