Important Note on Vacancies: The total number of vacancies is 41,424. These posts are divided among different districts of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates can only apply for the district where they hold a Domicile or Permanent Resident certificate. The vacancies include reservations for Women (20%), Ex-Servicemen (5%), and Dependents of Freedom Fighters (2%).

Age Limit Rules: The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 30 years as of 01/07/2025. This means the candidate must be born between 02/07/1995 and 01/07/2007. There is an age relaxation of 05 years for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Uttar Pradesh. Ex-servicemen get a relaxation of 03 years after deducting service period from actual age.

Essential Qualification

  • Home Guard Volunteer
    • Candidate must have passed 10th Grade (High School) from a recognized board.
    • Candidate must be a resident of the specific district they are applying for (Must have Domicile or Permanent Resident Certificate).

Note: Candidates who are currently appearing for the 10th Grade exam are not eligible. All educational certificates must be issued before the last date of application.

Selection Process

  1. Written Examination
    • Type: Offline OMR Based Objective Test.
    • Subject: General Knowledge.
    • Questions: 100 Questions.
    • Marks: 100 Marks.
    • Duration: 02 Hours (120 Minutes).
    • Note: Candidates need minimum 25% marks to qualify.
  2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
    • Height (Male): 168 cm (Gen/OBC/SC), 160 cm (ST).
    • Height (Female): 152 cm (Gen/OBC/SC), 147 cm (ST).
    • Chest (Male): 79-84 cm (Gen/OBC/SC), 77-82 cm (ST).
    • Weight (Female): Minimum 40 kg.
  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
    • Running (Male): 4.8 km in 28 Minutes.
    • Running (Female): 2.4 km in 16 Minutes.
    • Note: This is qualifying in nature (No marks).
  4. Merit List
    • Based on Written Exam Marks + Preference Marks (NCC, Scout Guide, Home Guard Training, Driving License).

  2. Visit the Official Website of UPPRPB.
  3. Click on the link for Uttar Pradesh Home Guards Enrollment 2025.
  4. Log in using your Registration Number or DigiLocker account.
  5. Fill in your personal details and educational qualifications carefully.
  6. Upload a Real-Time Live Photo and a scanned signature (Black Ink on White Paper).
  7. Upload required certificates via DigiLocker (or scan if not available).
  8. Pay the Application Fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
  9. Review the application form and click on Submit.
  10. Print the final application form for future reference.
