Essential Qualification
- I.M.A. and Officers Training Academy, Chennai:
- Degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
- Indian Naval Academy:
- Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
- Air Force Academy:
- Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) OR Bachelor of Engineering.
Candidates in their final year/semester of a Degree course can also apply, provided they submit proof of passing by the prescribed dates.
Selection Process
- Written Examination: Objective type question papers.
- Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test (SSB): For candidates qualifying the written exam. This includes a two-stage selection procedure (Stage I and Stage II).
- Medical Examination: As per prescribed physical standards.
There will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers in the Objective Type Question Papers. For IMA, INA & AFA, subjects are English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics (100 marks each, 2 hours each). For OTA, subjects are English and General Knowledge (100 marks each, 2 hours each).
