The total number of vacancies is 220 which includes both backlog and regular openings. Vacancies are tentative and can change as per department needs.
Age limit is calculated as on 01/07/2025. Age relaxation is 5 years for SC ST BC and EWS categories. It is 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. Ex servicemen get 3 years extra after deducting their service period.

Essential Qualification
- Assistant Professor Clinical and Non Clinical
- PG Degree MD MS or DNB in the specific subject
- Degree must be from an institute recognized by NMC or MCI
- One year of Senior Residency is required after finishing PG
- Assistant Professor Super Specialty
- PG Degree DM MCh DNB or DrNB in the specific super specialty
- Degree must be from an institute recognized by NMC or MCI
- Senior Residency is not required for super specialty posts
- General Requirement
- Candidates must have a valid AP Medical Council Registration
- Candidates must be Local Candidates of Andhra Pradesh state
Selection Process
- Total Selection Weightage is 100 Marks
- Qualifying Examination Marks: Maximum of 75 Marks based on PG or Super Specialty degree performance.
- Seniority Weightage: Up to 10 Marks given at 1 mark per year since passing the qualifying exam.
- Central Institutions: 5 Marks extra for candidates who finished PG from Central Institutions.
- Contract Service Weightage: Up to 15 Marks for service in government health departments.
Service Area Weightage Marks Tribal Area 2.5 Marks per 6 months Rural Area 2.0 Marks per 6 months Urban Area 1.0 Mark per 6 months COVID 19 Duties 5.0 Marks per 6 months
