The minimum age to apply for the post is 18 years and the maximum age is 27 years. However, age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per the rules.
The age limit for all Multi-Tasking Staff posts is generally 18 to 27 years.
Age relaxation in the upper age limit is allowed for different categories as follows:
- SC/ST candidates can get 5 years of relaxation.
- OBC candidates can get 3 years of relaxation.
- PwBD candidates can get 10 years of relaxation.
- PwBD + SC/ST candidates can get 15 years of relaxation.
- PwBD + OBC candidates can get 13 years of relaxation.
- Departmental candidates (regular Govt. servants with at least three years continuous service) can get relaxation up to 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST and 43 years for OBC).
- Ex-Servicemen can get relaxation equal to the period of their Military service plus 3 years (up to a maximum of 55 years).

Essential Qualification
- For the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in all departments, the essential educational qualification is Matriculation or equivalent pass (10th Grade pass) from a recognized Board/University/Institution.

Selection Process
- The selection process will be based on a One Tier Examination (I Tier - General).
- The exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The questions in the exam will be bilingual (Hindi & English), except for the language papers.
- The syllabus for the examination (Total 200 Marks) is divided into 5 sections of 40 marks each:

- In case of a tie in marks, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher in merit. If the dates of birth are also the same, the candidate whose first name comes first in alphabetical order (in English) will be placed higher.
- Skill Test / Endurance Test / Driving Test / Trade Test may be conducted as per the job requirement.
