Essential Qualification
- Assistant (General Stream): A Graduate Degree in any discipline (10+2+3/4 pattern) from a recognized university. Candidates must have completed or be undergoing Cooperative Training. Knowledge of Computer Applications is required.
- Assistant (Specialized Streams): A Degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, ECE, Civil, Electrical), Law, or Commerce. Candidates must have completed or be undergoing Cooperative Training. Knowledge of Computer Applications is required.
- Cooperative Training Exemption: Candidates with degrees like B.Com (Honors) Cooperation, M.Com (Cooperation), MA (Cooperation), or BA (Cooperation) are exempted from Cooperative Training. However, they must have passed subjects like Book Keeping, Banking, Cooperation, and Auditing.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must have sufficient knowledge of the Tamil Language. They should have studied Tamil as a subject in SSLC (10th), HSC (12th), or Degree, or passed the Second Class Language Test conducted by TNPSC.
Selection Process
- Written Examination: The selection starts with a written exam. It is an OMR Based offline test. The duration is 3 Hours. The exam consists of 200 Questions for a total of 170 Marks.
- Syllabus Topics: The exam covers Cooperative Management, Cooperative Credit & Banking, Cooperative Accounting, MIS & Computer Application, General Knowledge, Mental Ability & Reasoning, and Tamil Language.
- Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for an Interview. The interview carries 30 Marks.
- Final Selection: The final list is based on the total marks obtained in the Written Examination (170) and Interview (30), making a total of 200 Marks.
